Science Curriculum Overview
At Diggle School, we use the White Rose Science scheme to deliver an engaging, ambitious and knowledge-rich science curriculum. Lessons are carefully sequenced to build children's understanding over time, helping them develop secure scientific knowledge alongside key enquiry skills.
Through hands on investigations, observation, questioning and discussion, pupils are encouraged to think and work like scientists. They explore the world around them, making meaningful links to everyday life.
Our science curriculum promotes curiosity, critical thinking and problem solving while developing scientific vocabulary and understanding. By the end of primary school, pupils are equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence to continue their scientific learning and to appreciate the role science plays in our lives and the wider world.
